Rival Systems recently hosted a webinar highlighting several new enhancements to the Rival One OEMS, focused on improving execution workflows for professional trading environments.

The session introduced three key capabilities:

  • Custom order routing parameters

Together, these features are designed to provide greater control, flexibility, and efficiency across multi-asset trading workflows.

Custom Order Routing for Greater Execution Control

Rival One integrates with multiple execution brokers and supports a range of routing options and algorithms. Users can select specific routes directly within the trading interface and configure associated parameters based on broker-defined inputs.

Certain routes include required parameters, which must be completed prior to order submission, while others offer optional customization fields. These configurations are accessible from both the depth ticket and order entry interfaces, allowing traders to tailor execution logic based on strategy and broker capabilities.

Order Upload: Structured Workflow for Basket Order Entry and Execution

The order upload functionality allows users to submit multiple orders simultaneously using a CSV or Excel file.

Once uploaded:

  • Orders are staged within the order book
  • Users can review and selectively execute orders
  • Orders are not sent until explicitly triggered

The system validates inputs such as account permissions, symbol formatting, and order parameters. If an error is detected, the platform identifies the exact row and issue, enabling users to correct and re-upload efficiently.

This workflow provides a controlled approach to managing larger or more complex order sets while maintaining visibility prior to execution.

Allocation Tool: Post-Trade Position Management

Rival One’s allocation tool enables users to distribute executed trades across multiple accounts directly from the trade book.

Key capabilities include:

  • Allocation by percentage, quantity, or dollar amount
  • Validation to ensure allocations total 100 percent
  • Support for rounding rules when splitting positions
  • Automatic creation of offsetting and destination trades

Allocations are handled as post-trade actions, with manual entries reflecting both the removal from the original account and redistribution to destination accounts.

The system also allows allocations to be adjusted or reversed, with safeguards in place to maintain a clear audit trail of changes.

Designed for Multi-Asset Execution Environments

These enhancements build on Rival One’s multi-asset foundation, supporting equities, futures, and options within a single platform. The tools demonstrated are designed to integrate directly into existing workflows, helping traders and firms manage execution more efficiently while maintaining control over order flow and position management.
